Bright Spot: Dream Big Pilipinas 14&Under bounce back 2-0 against Don Bosco Alabang

Feb 25, 2012 – After losses to Bannister Academy, the DreamBigPilipinas 14&Under team played a spirited game, defeating the Tuloy Sa Don Bosco Football Team 2-0 in a friendly encounter.

The team stumbled early in the first match 0-2, though maintaining possession for most of the game. Tuloy capitalized well on very few opportunities at goal, through quick counters and long distance shooting.

In the final match, DBP regrouped and played a more controlled and disciplined style of play, showcasing quick passing and transitions, which opened up multiple attempts on goal. The team failed to convert early, on miscues and shots hitting the crossbar on multiple occasions.

DBP got their first goal thanks to its youngest player, 10-year old Reynaldo Ducot, beating the keeper in a scrappy exchange. The second goal came from a 5-pass build-up orchestrated by Niel Musa, and converted by Nilo Pesimo.

The match served as the culminating friendly, before the Don Bosco Tournament on March 11.
